Two Contra Costa County Fair employees were robbed at gunpoint last week when they were attempting to deposit fair money at a bank in Antioch, police said.

Antioch police said at approximately 2:18 a.m. May 20 officers responded to the 2500 block of Somersville Road for the report of an armed robbery.  

Officers contacted two fair employees who said they were trying to do the fair’s nightly deposit when they were approached by a suspect with a gun who took the money and the victims’ personal belongings.
