The Town of Danville is set to begin recruitment for several positions on various commissions as well as a representative for advisory committees for the county’s public transit agency at the Town Council’s next regular meeting.

City Clerk Marie Sunseri is set to formally issue the recruitment announcement at the upcoming meeting along with plans for filling the positions for terms starting in July.

The openings consist of two four-year terms each on the town’s Bicycle Advisor Commission and Heritage Resource Commission, with the latter seeking one member with demonstrated interest and one member with specific knowledge or background working in history, archaeology, or geography.

Additionally, the town is seeking a Danville resident to represent as a member of the County Connection Advisory Committee for a two-year term.

The Danville Town Council is set to meet at 5 p.m. on Wednesday (March 6). The agenda is available here.

*The council will present proclamations recognizing March as American Red Cross Month and Women’s History Month.

*Danville Police Department Chief Allan Shields will present a quarterly report and introduce new staff at the department. 

*Mayor Karen Stepper and Councilmember David Fong will present a quarterly chamber of commerce liaison report.
