The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is preparing to celebrate the more than 2,500 graduating high school seniors, with graduation ceremonies scheduled at schools throughout the district in the coming days.
Festivities are kicking off this week for graduates of two programs at Del Amigo High School in San Ramon, which serves as a continuation program for SRVUSD, with additional high school graduation ceremonies scheduled next week.
“High School graduation is a special time for all families as their children reach this important educational milestone,” SRVUSD Superintendent John Malloy said in an announcement from the district. “We look forward to celebrating the class of 2024, their remarkable achievements, and their next steps as they thrive and excel in their post-high school endeavors. “
Graduating students in Del Amigo’s reach program are set to be the first celebrants of the season, with a ceremony scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday at the school’s campus at 10540 Albion Road. in San Ramon, followed by students in the transition program on Friday at 1 p.m.
Other Del Amigo graduates are set to join graduating students from the Venture independent study program for a ceremony at the Dougherty Valley High School stadium at 2 p.m. next Thursday (June 6).
The remaining high school graduations at Monte Vista, San Ramon Valley, Dougherty Valley, and California high schools are set for next Thursday at 6 p.m. at their respective campuses.
The district’s high school campuses are also set to host middle school graduation ceremonies next week.
“We also want to recognize our middle school students as they are promoted to high school,” Malloy said. “As they embark on the next stage of their educational journey, we are here to support their transition to high school.”

Tuesday (June 4)
* Los Cerros at the Monte Vista High School auditorium at 5 p.m.
* Iron Horse at the California High School Stadium at 6 p.m.
* Windemere Ranch at the Dougherty Valley High School stadium at 6 p.m.
Wednesday (June 5)
* Stone Valley at Monte Vista High School Stadium at 6 p.m.
* Pine Valley at the California High School stadium at 6 p.m.
* Gale Ranch at the Dougherty Valley High School stadium at 6 p.m.
* Charlotte Wood at the San Ramon Valley High School stadium at 6 p.m.
