The San Ramon Valley Council of Parent Teacher Associations is holding a Parent and Community and Special Needs Conference on Saturday, Feb. 24, at Windemere Ranch Middle School at 11611 East Branch Parkway in San Ramon.

The conference begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. The keynote speaker is Dr. Brad Berman, who will discuss “A Child’s Journey into Adolescence: Neurodevelopment from Age 5 to 16.” Additionally, there will be 29 small group seminars to include topics entitled “Unlocking Personal Power”; “Autism Research – The M.I.N.D. Institute”; and “Medical and Non-Medical Approaches to Managing ADHD.”

“This conference is designed to serve as a resource for parents, educators, medical professionals and others in the community who would like some additional information to help them with one of the most demanding, important and rewarding jobs in their lives – raising children,” said Gina Turturici, community conference chairwoman of the San Ramon Council of PTAs.
