Let there be lights! say Father Christmas and the Snow Angel every year at this time, the day after Thanksgiving.
The 34th annual Danville Tree Lighting is a long-time family tradition in Danville. This year’s will take place from 5:15-8:30 p.m. along Diablo Road near the Old Oak Tree.
From 5:15-6:15 p.m., gather at the tree for holiday refreshments and music and sing along with the San Ramon Valley High School Chorus under the direction of Ken Abrams. Then, from 6:15-6:30 p.m. the ceremonial lighting of the tree by Father Christmas and Snow Angel will occur.
Finally, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. the magic continues with holiday music, entertainment and refreshments at businesses throughout downtown Danville.
On Railroad Avenue at Prospect, the Museum of the San Ramon Valley will be open with its Christmas Memories exhibit. All are invited to stop by for the museum’s annual open house, with cookies and warm cider served. The museum’s miniature train will be offering children rides along Prospect Avenue.

One of the reasons we live in this valley. We look forward to it every year. Well done, Danville!
