Central San is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Household Hazardous Waste Collection facility Wednesday morning.
Central San is the sewer provider for Danville, most of San Ramon and unincorporated San Ramon Valley, and its Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) facility is a place where residents can safely dispose of hazardous materials, in order to keep them out of local landfills and waterways.
The facility also houses a Reuse Room for items dropped off that are still usable, where community members can pick up free paint and other items.
Wednesday’s event will take place at Imhoff Place in Martinez. The formal program is from 11 a.m. to noon, after which attendees will be able to tour the treatment plant and the HHW facility.
