The Danville Police Department is investigating after a man was found dead in the Sycamore neighborhood Friday morning in an apparent suicide by hanging in public.
The body of a 48-year-old man was discovered just after 6 a.m. on a stretch of open space known as a greenbelt near the intersection of Old Orchard Drive and Park Hill Road, according to Geoff Gillette, town public information coordinator.
The case is being investigated as an apparent suicide. No additional details were provided.
