Set to be held virtually due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the meeting will see council members discuss a report on city pension funding, San Ramon’s five-year budget forecast and discuss development goals for the 2021-22 fiscal year.

City staff will also provide an update on the federal American Rescue Plan Act, which was approved by Congress in order to give coronavirus-related relief. In addition to $1,400 stimulus checks to eligible individuals, the act also accelerates and expands vaccinations, provides support to reopen schools and offers relief to small businesses, among other things.

The San Ramon City Council’s special meeting is set to be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday (March 27) at the San Ramon Community Center Fountain Room, 12501 Alcosta Blvd. Interested residents are welcome to attend the meeting in-person so long as they are wearing masks and maintain social distancing practices.

Residents can also submit public comments via email to CityClerk@sanramon.ca.gov. Comments must be sent prior to 9 a.m. on Saturday and include “Public Comment 3/27/2021” in the subject line.
