The San Ramon City Council is set to discuss a year-in-review presentation Tuesday about highlights from work by the city’s Planning Commission and Planning Department.

Lauren Barr, planning services division manager for the city, is set to lead the presentation at the City Council’s July 25 meeting, following a discussion by city staff and the Planning Commission at its most recent meeting on July 18.

The presentation is set to feature discussions on projects that have been approved by commissioners over the past year, as well as those still under review and in the application and planning stages.

Approved projects that are underway include the CityWalk apartments at Bishop Ranch 1-A, the 72-bed El Nido Assisted Living facility set for the site of the historic Harlan House at 19251 San Ramon Valley Blvd., the Marketplace mixed-use development, and a revised fire district training facility at 1500 Bollinger Canyon Road.

Projects under construction include the 404-unit CIty Village project at Bishop Ranch 6, Aspen Wood Senior Apartments at 9000 Alcosta Blvd., Primrose Daycare Center and Belmont Village.

Approved projects with construction timelines still being determined include TTLC Townhomes at 500 Deerwood Road, Windflower Townhomes at 2701 Hooper Drive (the current site of the Golden Skate roller rink) and the City Center Hotel planned for Camino Ramon and Bishop Drive.

In other business

* In a special meeting at 4:30 p.m., councilmembers will hold interviews and discuss an appointment for vice chair of the city’s Teen Council.

* Councilmembers will discuss and consider approving a contract for City Manager Steven Spedowfski.
