A 35-year-old man who allegedly rammed an occupied vehicle with his car in Alamo last week was taken into custody following a police pursuit through the northern San Ramon Valley, after which he went on to allegedly ram another vehicle – a county sheriff’s office patrol car.

CCSO deputies from the office’s Valley Station responded to a call at approximately 8:37 p.m. Friday about a driver ramming another vehicle with his car at Alamo Plaza Shopping Center, where they found the suspect physically hitting the vehicle upon their arrival.

The suspect returned to his car and fled the scene, pursued by deputies through Alamo, Danville, and Walnut Creek, with Walnut Creek police setting up spike strips to stop him before he was apprehended at South Main Boulevard and Brentwood Court.

After being stopped, the suspect “backed up at a high rate of speed and rammed a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle twice,” according to a CCSO spokesperson.

Upon getting out of his car, the suspect “refused commands to stop, and actively fought deputies who tried to detain him in handcuffs,” police said.

He was ultimately taken into custody and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on a $380,000 bail for assault with a deadly weapon, felony evading, obstruction, and hit-and-run counts.

  1. Why no name? He’s not a juvenile. Is it because the DA hasn’t charged the clown yet? Is that the reason? Hell, numerous law enforcement personnel witnessed this punk ram his car into a patrol vehicle, evade arrest, along with reckless driving, etc. And still this cowardly newspaper won’t give the suspect’s name.

BS journalism from top to bottom.
