The San Ramon City Council is set to convene for two special meetings this week following their regular meeting Tuesday, during which they will host interviews and consider making appointments to the city’s parks and planning commissions.
The council will interview candidates for the Parks and Community Services Commission at 5 p.m. Wednesday and for the Planning Commission at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Four out of eight parks commission seats are up for grabs, with the expiration of terms for half of its members up this month. The council is set to review a total of 10 applicants for those seats.
Three out of five planning commissioners – Gary Alpert, Eric Wallis, and Dave Curtis – are also in terms expiring this month. Alpert is the only one among the three to apply for an additional term in his seat, with a total of 11 applications received for the three available seats.
Wednesday’s agenda focused on parks commission candidates is available here. Thursday’s agenda focused on Planning Commission candidates is available here.
