Jim Crocker’s Mustang Storm U14 Girls Division 3 soccer team took first place in league play over the weekend. The Storm has an impressive record of 10-0-0. The strength of the Storm defense resulted in all 10 games being shut-outs, while the offense scored a league-leading 32 goals.

Equally impressive is the Storm’s accomplishments in tournament play. The team took first place this fall in the Claire Ann O’Neil Mission Bell Classic, Benicia Fall Classic and the Davis Lily Nison Memorial Shootout. They took second place in the local Devil Mountain Tournament, and third place in both the Castro Valley First Look and the Santa Barbara Summer Cup.

They have played a total of 34 games with an overall record of 29 wins, three ties and two losses. Overall the Storm has scored 83 goals by 14 players, allowed only 6, and shut out their opponents 30 times.

Offensive players for the Storm are Morgan Chace, Jolene Liljeberg, Makayla Cates, Rosie Garcia, Madeline Call, Bridgette Larin, Amanda Crook and Erin Couldren. The Storm defense is Rachel Robinson, Aimee Crocker, Morgan McGrath, Devon Bridges, Aimee Dewan, Alex Sherwood, Janelle Cates and Goalkeeper Alex King. Jim Crocker and John Garcia have coached the Storm team together for the past four years.
