The San Ramon Regional Medical Center recently honored Danville resident Alan Kong for his 3,500 hours of service to the hospital. He and 30 other volunteers received awards at a volunteer recognition luncheon at the Crow Canyon Country Club during National Volunteer Week.
“We appreciate the many hours of personal service our 136 volunteers contribute to our hospital,” said hospital CEO Gary Sloan. “They represent the heart and soul of our hospital.”
Since the medical center opened 15 years ago, volunteers have worked in reception, gift shop, nursing units and other departments.
Among those receiving awards were the following Danville and Alamo residents:
Dorothy Kaiser (3,000 hours), Pat Milligan (2,500 hours), Sharon Beardsley (2,000 hours), Sari Grossman (2,000 hours), Lucy Ingram (2,000 hours), Bob Smith, (2,000 hours), Susan Anderson (1,500 hours), Norman Jackson (1,500 hours), Sue Bullock (500 hours), Don Cvietusa (250 hours), Claire Peppercorn (100 hours), Herb Schreider (100 hours), and Maxine Scofield (100 hours).
