City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon will be hosting its free summer community block party later this month with kid-friendly entertainment, summer treats and fun performers.
“There will be plenty of activities for both adults and children during the block party. There will be a rotation of family-friendly performances, including jugglers, a magician, a puppeteer, a unicyclist, an acrobat, butterfly stilt walkers and a selfie station. People can enjoy a book reading and signing, along with permanent jewelry and ear piercings from Heller Jewelers,” said Jeff Dodd, senior vice president of retail at City Center.
“The entire family can join in on a free t-shirt spin art activity with TheyMade while children play with free flower pinwheels that will be given out along with LEGO glasses from Optical Illusions. The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District firefighters will be in the parking lot showcasing their fire truck and kids can also get a Junior Officer badge from the San Ramon Police Department,” he added.
Special guests author and former Olympic gold medal figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi and NBC Bay Area meteorologist Rob Mayeda will be attending the summer block party.
“Kristi Yamaguchi will be in attendance for her book reading and signing at 1 p.m. on the lawn at Alexander Square. We will also have meteorologist Rob Mayeda with NBC’s Doppler Radar truck present from 12 to 2 p.m.” Dodd said.
For summer treats, ice cream or gelato will be sold at Salt & Straw and Gio Gelato. Free popcorn will be delivered from THE LOT’s popcorn cart.
