Tri-Valley Conservancy this month revealed the winners of its annual Views in the Valley photo competition, which seeks to highlight nature, agriculture and open space in the region.
“Mist Hunter”, captured by Ramon Arellano II at Lake Isabel on a foggy morning in San Ramon, won the Barry Zupan People’s Choice Award.
“Icy Bee” by Ildebrando Noval at Sunol Regional Wilderness took first place in the Wildlife Category. An Altamont Pass sunrise photograph by Josh Dye, “Altamont Ablaze”, earned first place in the Open Landscapes Category. And James McCabe’s “Glass House” at Forest Home Farms Historic Park won the Working Lands Category.
The top 12 ranked photos, which were on display at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore earlier this summer, will be exhibited at the Robert Livermore Community Center throughout the month of September.
