The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the nominees for its annual awards, which are sponsored by local media organizations. The winners will be announced and plaques presented at the annual Installation Dinner on Thursday.

Nominees for the 2010 Charitable Organization of the Year:

* Down Syndrome Connection of the Bay Area

* Museum of the San Ramon Valley

* The Wheelchair Foundation

This award will be presented by the Danville Express.

Nominees for the 2010 Educator of the Year:

* Cindy Eagan – San Ramon Valley High School

* Pat Hansen – Vista Grande Elementary School

* Bruce Koliha – Monte Vista High School

Nominees for the 2010 Business Person of the Year:

* Gordon Clarke – Tower Grille

* Marcia Harmon – Cottage Jewel

* Steve Wilcox – Summit Financial Group, LLC

Nominees for the 2010 Citizen of the Year:

* Paulina McGill – Friend of the Chamber

* Nancy Mullally – Alamo Capital

* Jerry Warren – Museum of the San Ramon Valley

The Installation Dinner also will welcome into office the 2011 Chairman of the Board, Kim Lindeberg of the Lindeberg Group, and the 2011 Board of Directors, as well as honor outgoing Chairman Joe Combs of The Combs Team.

The event takes place this Thursday, Feb. 17, at Diablo Country Club, beginning with no-host cocktails at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and program at 7:30 p.m.
