A Danville man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after authorities allege a property exchange dispute escalated into one person driving their vehicle into the other on the outskirts of San Ramon on Wednesday.
The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred after the victim met the suspect around 11 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 7) regarding an exchange of property in the 2400 block of Norris Canyon Road in unincorporated San Ramon.
“An argument ensued during the exchange, which resulted in one person striking the other with his vehicle,” the sheriff’s office stated. “The suspect then fled the scene and later surrendered without incident.”
The arrestee, identified as a 61-year-old man from Danville, was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, with bail set at $30,000, according to the sheriff’s office.
The victim was medically cleared at the scene after being evaluated by paramedics, the sheriff’s office said.

I recall an incident from a few years ago where a criminal was fleeing the police in Danville and attempted to use his vehicle as a weapon to run over an officer. The officer shot this criminal in self defense but was convicted. Just an observation.
