The overall design and future development goals of San Ramon is set to be reviewed at length during the San Ramon Planning Commission’s regular meeting on Tuesday, where officials will review the city’s 2020 General Plan annual report.

An annual review conducted by city staff, the Planning Commission will prepare the 2020 General Plan report for additional review by the City Council, allowing San Ramon’s top governing body the time to reflect on the city’s planning priorities.
“The 2020 General Plan Annual Report is structured to identify the City’s General Plan implementation strategies and thus serves as the work-plan document for City staff in the on-going implementation of the General Plan. The Report lists specific actions for implementing each General Plan guiding policy, the status of each task and the Department/Division responsible for carrying out those actions,” associate planner Ryan Driscoll said in a staff report.
According to Driscoll, city staff have been implementing policies laid out in the San Ramon General Plan 2035 since its original adoption in May 2015.
After reviewing the report, planning commissioners have until April 1 to submit it in its entirety to the City Council and state.
The San Ramon Planning Commission’s regular meeting is set to be held virtually at 7 p.m. on Tuesday (March 2). Interested residents can view the meeting on the city’s YouTube page or on its Zoom account using webinar ID 957 7290 3242.
To comment during the video conference, participants will need to sign into the Zoom meeting and click the “Raise Your Hand” button or dial “*9” if calling in by phone. Residents who do so will be logged as wanting to comment and will be unmuted when it is their turn to speak. As always, speakers will have up to three minutes to leave their comments.
Residents can also submit public comments via email to CityClerk@sanramon.ca.gov. Comments must be sent prior to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and include “Public Comment 3/2/2021” in the subject line.
