A 7-year-old child was airlifted to a hospital Wednesday afternoon after being bitten by a snake on a trail at Mt. Diablo State Park, authorities said.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to the incident about 4 p.m.
The condition of the child, who was taken to John Muir Hospital, was not immediately available.
