Welcome to the Tri-Valley Prep Playbook!
It is time for another week of the 2025-26 prep sports year!
The Playbook takes you inside the East Bay Athletic League, writing about outlooks, updates, and insight into all the sports, along with profiles of athletes, and opinions regarding controversial issues in high school sport!
The Big Picture looks at how sports play a huge role in the development of an athlete’s life as a person. A tough loss is something which may be a stomach punch initially but it’s also something that can help you grow as a person. Also, see which EBAL swimmers won titles at the NCS meet!
EBAL Power Rankings has the final boys’ volleyball rankings, as well as the last regular season softball rankings before the postseason chaos ensues.
What to Watch has the EBAL softball playoffs schedule, as well as the key last week of league baseball. Check out which EBAL lacrosse teams are still alive in the NCS playoffs.

When the final score isn’t the final lesson
I have preached for years about how sports can be such a vital tool in the development of the youth of today. Even the athletes themselves may not understand or fully grasp initially, but given time for most, the life lessons learned from sports will crystallize.

3. Granada (13-11, 9-4): The Mats took out Monte Vista 5-3 but then closed the regular season with an 11-1 loss to Livermore.
