San Ramon Valley residents are set to hear from their state senator this week, with Tim Grayson holding a meet and greet event aimed at centering on the top priorities for his local constituents.
Grayson, who represents a large portion of eastern, central, and southern Contra Costa County and parts of Alameda County, is coming to Danville’s Town Meeting Hall Thursday for the community discussion from 4 p.m to 6 p.m.
“Meet with my staff and me – plus friends and neighbors – to talk about legislation and matters most important to you and our community,” Grayson said in an announcement Monday.
The visit comes as Grayson heads toward the second half of his term in the seat, having taken office last year after beating out San Ramon council member Marisol Rubio for the District 9 seat in the 2024 general election to succeed Steve Glazer.
Although currently in his first term in the state senate, Grayson is a familiar figure in regional politics, having served on the Concord City Council then in the state assembly prior to his election in 2024.
Grayson’s ongoing work is also familiar in Danville, which was selected for the site of the long-anticipated South County location for the Family Justice Center, an organization co-founded by Grayson.
The organization opened its Diablo Road location in 2024, around the corner from the Town Meeting Hall at 201 Front St. in which Grayson is set for his latest local appearance.
