For the third consecutive year, City Center Bishop Ranch is hosting its Smooth Jazz concert series.

Drawing thousands of attendees each year, the annual San Ramon event hosts a variety of dining options and a vibrant atmosphere as well as featuring world-renowned jazz talent.

Performances will be held on Saturday evenings, with events set for July 11, 18 and 25 all kicking off at 7 p.m., according to a statement from event organizers.

“Last summer’s turnout showed us how deeply this event resonates with the community, and as the series enters its third year, the caliber of artists we’re bringing to San Ramon reflects our commitment to making each summer even better than the last,” said Jeff Dodd, senior vice president of retail at Sunset Development.

“It’s a celebration of world-class music, community and great food in the welcoming atmosphere City Center Bishop Ranch is known for,” he added.

Guests can look forward to hearing from chart-topping saxophonist Paul Taylor, Grammy-nominated contemporary jazz musician and pianist David Benoit, and Grammy-winning guitarist Lee Ritenour.

Artists will also be available after performances for meet-and-greets, including autographs and photo opportunities, organizers said.

The event is free to the community and is hosted in Alexander Square.

Guests have the option to elevate their concert experience by reserving pre-fixe dinners at one of the mall’s five participating restaurants. Those with reservations will receive seats in the VIP area to view the show.

“There’s something special about watching thousands of people gather in Alexander Square on a summer evening with neighbors, families and friends, all brought together by incredible live music,” Dodd said.

For those seeking a more casual experience, guests can instead opt for patio seating with views of the stage or enjoy takeout picnic-style on the lawn. Pets are welcome, and beer, wine and cocktails will also be available for purchase.
