The San Ramon Valley Unified School District’s Board of Education is set to continue talks on recruiting a new superintendent in a special meeting Thursday.

The upcoming discussion is set to be in a closed session, with no return to public session following the meeting. The board will accept public comments on the agenda topic ahead of the discussion.

Recruitment efforts have been underway since current Superintendent John Malloy’s announcement in February that he would be leaving the position for a new executive role with the American Association of School Administrators.

Malloy is set to depart at the end of the current school year, with district officials seeking to find a successor by that point.

The SRVUSD board is set to meet at 9 a.m. on Thursday (April 18). The agenda is available here.
