In an incident believed to be unrelated to fireworks, a burning vehicle ignited a residential fire in Dublin on the Fourth of July, the Alameda County Fire Department said.

ACFD responded at about 10:43 p.m. to a report of a vehicle fire on the 11000 block of Rolling Hills Drive.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a burning vehicle inside a garage with flames reaching the home, ACFD officials wrote on social media.

Embers also ignited a grass fire behind the house, which burned about 0.1 acres.

“Crews quickly contained both fires and prevented further spread,” ACFD officials said.
