Tri-Valley Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (D-Concord) is scheduled to host a virtual town hall Monday afternoon “to highlight the crisis American families are facing” with regard to healthcare.

“DeSaulnier will discuss the many factors leading to healthcare costs being unattainably high, like high rates of insurance denials and inefficiencies in the American healthcare system like kickbacks for Pharmacy Benefit Managers, and the bold action needed to reduce costs for Americans amidst Republican attacks on their care,” his office stated.

The ranking member of the House Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions, DeSaulnier will be joined at the webinar by Vaishu Jawahar, director of policy at Protect Our Care, and Dr. Grant Colfax, director of Contra Costa Health. The panelists are expected to take questions live from the audience.

The town hall is set to run from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday (July 20), hosted on Zoom and streamed to YouTube. To reserve a spot and receive a Zoom link or to request special accommodations, visit https://desaulnier.house.gov/town-hall-rsvp or call 925-933-2660.
